What time does the park open and close?

Entry to the park is at 9am.

The first Lorikeet feeding for wild Lorikeets is at 8am and located near the Sanctuary Cafe, just outside the main entrance.

The park closes at 4pm

Yes there are a variety of dining venues.

The Homestead open 10.30am - 3.30pm is a licensed venue with an Australian Outback inspired menu

Sanctuary Cafe open from 8am: Located at the park entrance, offers a casual cafe style setting

Wild Burgers: located inside the park offers a selection of burgers, fish & chips and wraps

Aussie Scopp Ice Cream Parlour: Near the main entrance

  • Eight (8) reserved accessible parking spaces with shared areas are available within the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Car Park close to the entrance.
  • The main pathway around the Sanctuary is either bitumen, cement or pavers that is accessible to all users. Paths with steeper inclines are clearly marked via signage and on the park map and on the path itself before the incline starts.
  • There are several pedestrian level crossings where the pathways and train lines cross over. All level crossings have yellow safety lines to indicate a safe distance from oncoming trains and an audible buzzer that sounds when a train is approaching. All level crossings are at least 2000mm wide 
  • Restroom amenities are provided throughout the Sanctuary with designated wide access ambulant cubicles in selected areas. Locations of accessible restrooms are identified on the park map at Sanctuary Cafe and outside Repturnal Den on the East side, and at Wild Burgers and on the path to the Wildlife Hospital on the West side.
  • Accessible seating areas are available at all show venues.
  • Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs are welcome within the Sanctuary, however, due to Queensland Biosecurity restrictions and the safety of our animals, only certified service dogs under the Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dog Act 2009 are permitted on the premises.
  • Assistance dogs are not permitted into areas where direct interaction with animals can occur. We are happy to provide more details when contact is made.
  • Our friendly Park Volunteers are easily recognisable in yellow polo shirts and are located throughout the Sanctuary. The volunteers are a source of information on the wildlife, shows, exhibits and the park in general.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is located at 28 Tomewin St, Currumbin and has a dedicated car park on Tomewin Street - open from 7.30am until 5.30pm (except on event days). Car park fees apply. Alternatively there is free street parking.

$10 parking - all proceeds directly support Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.
